How Could We Forget The I-4 Pile Up?
The I-4 Pile Up really put Lakeland Florida on the map. We had relatives from New England and my mother from Ireland actually calling to tell us we were on the news. Here is a flashback I found on Youtube:

Such a tragedy and the entire nightmare could have been avoided. I agree, it really did put Lakeland on the map, but at what cost? Lakeland already had bad publicity back in September 2006, when Matt Williams and Diogi were executed in the line of duty.
