Have You Ever Been Out Of The United States? Try County Kerry Ireland

I had the opportunity to go to Ireland last February to visit my mother. She’s originally from Ireland. My mom

moved to the US when she was 18. She ended up having 3 kids (including me), raised us and went back. From the moment my plane touched down (5+ hour flight) I realized how different we are, and I’m not sure if it’s a good thing or not.

I arrived at Shannon Airport in the early morning hours greeted with cold overcast skies. I actually wanted a smoke really bad, but I knew I had a long line to wait in for customs. To my amazement the line moved faster then I thought and I approached the double doors quickly. When I entered the room I was shocked to see it empty. There was nobody except us walking through! The next door I walked through I found my mom standing there waiting for me.

This is when I realized I was entering a peaceful country that doesn’t get involved in foreign policy and it really pays of for them. They don’t need security like we do because who would want to harm them? What has the Irish ever done? (I mean Ireland as a country – not the IRA).

So now here I am after time traveling in Ireland. It is now 5 hours later than it should be. It was 6:00 am there but my body says it 1:00AM. I asked my mom during the drive to Milltown (County Kerry) to stop somewhere so I can get a real cup of coffee. She told me it was so early that everything is closed, but there is a convenience store about 45 minutes (about half way to Milltown). Imagine that? We are so used to stores everywhere that never close!

Although it was winter everything is still so green. It was beautiful everywhere I looked. The closest we got to Milltown, the bigger the Kerry Mountains got. Words cannot describe how beautiful and peaceful Ireland is. I will add to this post soon, and I will also explain where I found this car. I will also share more photographs of family arguments anf the Ross Castle.

I was facinated by the "Family Arguments" Of Ireland
