In the past few years there has been some changes in the Custom T-Shirt industry. Probably the biggest failure was the “direct to garment” T Shirt printer. This was simply a larhe inkjet printer that would print directly on the T-Shirt rather than a piece of paper.
We were going to buy the equipment, but at a price of $15,000 we thought we should do some research. We went online and bought these types of T-Shirts from 4 different companies and the day we got them all on we instantly decided NOT TO sell these. The quality wasn’t there.
We are now exited to announce full color laser T-Shirts. The quality is unbelievable! Now please don’t confuse these with iron on tranfers, there is a huge difference.

In the last few years there has been many changing in the T Shirt Printing Industry. Normally you had to order a bunch of T-Shirts because of the screen set-up charges for screen printing. Now thanks to some innovation short run T Shirts can be printed in low quantities (even just one).

After the vinyl is cut with our Roland Vinyl Cutter each piece has to be hand weeded. This can take some time for small fonts and logos with detail in it. The dot above the small letter “i” can be a nightmare as well.
O's really aren't that bad, but you can image how tedicious it could be with a detailed logo or small letters. We use a dental pick to weed.

Once the weeding process is done we fire up the heat press to about 330 degrees and apply it to the T-Shirt for about 8 seconds. As soon as the 8 seconds are up we peel the backing off and presto! Vinyl will never crack or peel and will outlive the garment.

number they want. Last week I got a call from a woman in another state. She wanted special shirts made for her all of her relatives who were attending her Thanksgiving Dinner. She wanted 10 in all, with 3 different colors. I think it was a great idea! Here is what they looked like:
For each shirt to be customized, screen printing would be expensive because you would have to make a screen for each name and number. Tracey and I use a Roland Vinyl Cutter which will cut anything we want. We then melt the artwork on the shirt with a commercial heat press. The result? The letters will outlast the life of the garment, never cracking or peeling. Look at the close up photo and you can see how the vinyl melts into shirt.
