One of the hardest things to achieve in car dealer SEO is proper backlinks. Proper, meaning links from website with the same content. A true backlink will be a nice clean link without the dreaded “nofollow” tag or a java script link.

A nofollow tag tells the search engines not to pass any relevancy (or link juice) to the site it’s linking to. Many car dealers think that links from Cars.com, Yahoo Autos and Autotrader count as backlinks. Well, they don’t.

The problem is there aren’t many automotive related sources to obtain backlinks from. Showroom Logic has just finished it’s set-up of a live directory consisting of a dealers actual inventory.

Each dealer will get their own hub page with a direct keyword rich link to the website of a dealers choice. Showroom Logic will link to a dealers main website or microsite.

As an added bonus, each dealer will receive an image backlink from each and every vehicle they have in inventory. This will ultimately move the dealers website up in all three of the big search engines.

Participating car dealers are encouraged to send us their inventory feeds for the full benefit. Why pay the Yahoo Directory or Business.com $300.00 a year when you can get all of these features in a live automotive directory for the same price?

Showroom Logic’s Automotive Directory will not only give a dealer’s website more SEP Power, it will actually catch and send leads directly to the dealer.

We are happy to not only work with dealers, but SEO Companies as well. Visit out automotive directory page for more details.

All new signups will get a blog update written about their location, etc with another direct link to the website of their choice. Savvy dealers and marketers will also get a log-in to create 1 blog post every month for each signup to promote current events. The length of the post is up to you, but you can only have 2 external links on the post.

Any car dealer using our directory will also get use of our Craigslist Posting tool, Twitter and Facebook Tools. For more information, email mike@showroomlogic.com or call 863-666-0130.

Wht is this such a great deal? Think about it. Last month I went to my local Walmart to have my oil changed. It cost me 34 dollars! I would assume that the employees there are not ASE certified. If they were, they’de be working at a dealership making some decent money.

Napleton Jeep Chrysler Dodge has a state of the art service department with millions of dollars in computer equipment. Plus, all of their service technicians are ASE Certified.

Say good bye to the shade tree mechanic in your town. They won’t have the computer equipment to diagnose a problem quickly with your car or truck, which will result in many hours alone of diagnosing the problem.

Call 866-934-0569 to schedule an appointment online, or schedule an oil change appointment online here.

It appear that Toyota has it’s reputation management firm working over time since the news was announced that over 2 million vehicle have been recalled due to a potential problem with the gas pedals sticking.

The reason why I’m aware of this is simple. I did a blog post earlier on another blog, and my RSS Feed updates my Facebook Status. I clicked on the link (from Facebook) and this is what I got:

Toyota Had My Facebook Link Blocked (Click to visit the post that was blocked)

I’m not sure how many reports Facebook would require to block a link, but it just goes to show you how important reputation management is and how to act swiftly.

I’m sure this is a PR nightmare, but because of the serious safety issues of this recall I take my hat off to them for pulling the cars from being sold as well.

The other day I was at an antique shop I happened across the Bionic Man Doll. I remember having it, and you could look through his Bionic Eye from the back of his head.

It made me think of other cool toys I had back in the day. I was born in 1968. So, (in no particular order) here are the best toys I can remember:

Army Men

I wasn’t really into these, but every friend I had was. Everybody had them.

Remember The Army Men?

Atari

Before I had my own, I used to babysit the kids down the street just so I could spend all night playing Space Invaders. It was around the time Pitfall came out is when I had my own.

Atari

Barrel Of Monkeys

This wasn’t even really a game, but it was cool to link a bunch of Monkeys together.

Barrel Of Monkeys

The Big Wheel

Big wheels were the coolest of cool, and you could beat the crap out of them on a daily basis. The only problem was the flat spots that ended up on the wheels from skidding so often. Parts were not available. Remember the brake by the back wheel?

The Big Wheel

The Bionic Man

Oscar Goldman and the Bionic Woman were also available, but nothing beat Steve Austin’s Bionic Eye.

The Bionic Man

Coleco Vision

I never had this game, but I remember playing it at a friend’s house. The Donkey Kong graphics were unbelievable.

Coleco Vision

Electric Football

Remember this one? You each line up your players and turn it on? The field simply vibrated which moved the men around, and you’d stop it when the quarterback got touched. Were passing plays available in that game?

Electric Football

Remember Electric Football Now?

Fisher Price Movie Preview

I vaguely remember this one, but can’t remember how it worked. Does anyone remember?

Fisher Price Movie Preview

The Green Machine

After the success of the Big Wheel, this was another company’s answer to take over. It was a pimped out Big Wheel and you had to pedal with your hands.

The Green Machine

Intellivision

I think this was before Coleco Vision, and it was lame. The baseball was state of the art though.

Intellivision

Stretch Armstrong

Who didn’t have one of these. Do you remember the commercials?

Stretch Armstrong

Lincoln Logs

Lincoln Logs were way better than Legos. Remember the green pices of wood to make the roof out of. Are they still around?

Lincoln Logs

Mattel Electronic Football and Baseball

I think this was early eighties. They were pretty addicting, and every kid would be playing theirs on the school bus.

Mattel Electronic Football

Merlin

Merlin was a cool game. It was more than just one game, there were several including Tic Tac Toe, Music Maker, Memory, Black Jack, Magic Square and Master Mind.

Merlin

Mouse Trap

The board game itself was pretty lame, but setting up the trap and watching it work was the best part.

Mouse Trap

Mr Microphone

I never had one, but I remember the massive television campaign they ran. The commercial was so obnoxious.

Mr Microphone

Mr Mouth

This was one of those games you had when the batteries died you never played it again. the commercials made it look cool though.

Mr Mouth
